Manganese is the twelfth most abundant metal found in the earth’s crust & fourth most commonly used metal in terms of quantity behind Iron, Aluminium & Copper. Approx. 90% of the manganese used worldwide goes into the steel industry & because of its relatively low price and technical benefits, it has no real substitute. Manganese also has important uses in Aluminium as an alloying agent. Ferro Manganese is made by heating a mixture of Manganese Oxide and Iron Oxide with carbon (coal/ coke) either in a blast furnace or electric arc furnace. Ferro Manganese can be supplied as Low Carbon FeMn, Medium Carbon FeMn or High Carbon FeMn. More than 50% of the Ferro Manganese produced globally is produced in China.
 
Application: Addition as an alloying element in steel making.

Melting Point: ~1350°C
